Off late i have been travelling quite a bit.. be it for my family or because i wanted to move from one city to another.. but anyways.. whats keeping me in touch with my family and friends while travelling is my mob.. i.e technology..
Long gone are the days were i would tell ppl that i am about to board the train and that i leaving for the station and hence will call once i reach the destination. but now days we can be in touch constantly.. we can call each other up... get all the glory details off one's travel then and there starting from if you are having an annoying co-passenger.. to which station you have reached at that particular time of the day.. to what you might eat later on..
But I have this very love -hate relationship with this technology.. i love the fact that i can reheat my food in few mins.. i get to record my fav tele soaps in case i miss them or wanna watch them a million times.. i love the fact that i am in touch with my loved ones all the time.. but it also gets me distracted very easily.. especially when i don't want to be distracted..say like now.. i started to write this blog.. and got carried away googling things up on technology and relationships.. hehe funny stuff.. i am pretty sure it has happened to lots of us.. we decided that yes this is what i am going to do .. this is my plan for the day.. but once we log on to the virtual world then all hell break loose.. have to check emails.. reply back to the emails .. off lines.. check on your friends status.. poke each other on face book.. and what not.. and if there's some gossip out.. oh boy we do have to catch up on that.. and yes.. how can i forget.. tweet about them as well..
But what this technology has done is its has taken out the charm one could have a conversation for hours together face to face.. because now we somehow manage to stay in touch all the time.. thus making us feel connected with the other person all the time.. be it how far they are.. everyone is connected to the other..Also now if u want to avoid some one then u don't exactly have to pick up calls or reply back to the texts and you can always blame this back on to the technology. There are one of genuine cases were technology is to be blamed for this...
But I would still prefer the old fashioned way of keeping in touch.. meeting up for coffee...having long conversations about anything under the sun.. just having able to put a face to the voice or to your chats helps to such an extent that's nothing.. able to see the facial expressions helps more in having the conversation.. because you know for sure if the person is genuinely interested or just pretending to be listening.. because that's what happens sometimes.. we are on the chat or on a call.. and might simultaneously be multi tasking.. and thus we don't even realise if the topic of discussion or conversation was of importance or not.... i know some of u would suggest the video chat but common how many times have u thought i wish the we could just sit and talk instead of having to stare at the computer monitor..
Well anyways.. i just got distracted for the n'th time while writing this blog... So i think i will just wrap it up.. Hope you guys will let me know what u think.. and mean time.. i have given the link to one of my distractions that i had while googling things up...
Enjoyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like everything else technology also has its pros and cons.we have to use it such as to minimise the cons.
