Listening to the rain on my sunshade window at univ......Ok let me explain the layout of this room...well this window in question which is practically the only window that one can see in this little room....that to because its in the ceiling... Rest of them is camoflaged by cupboards and book shelves.. And this room my friend's have named it as Ani's Dungeon.. because thats where you will find me.. crouched up on some books or staring blankly at the computer thinking if I stare long enough may be the software would decide to work lol.. which btw it never does..... [ And right now its bright and shining.. Considering that I started to write this couple of days back.... ]
Anyways.. listening to the rain drops falling on the window.. all I could think of that time is my native place.. and how similar the weather was.. well atleast in terms of the rain rather.. Considering Kerala is always known for its rainy season.. or the occasional showers in the summer.. the coconuts.. banana's .. the back waters.. well could go on..
And this is another reason why am feeling home sick now..
Considering soh is leaving for India this weekend.. and am planning trips for my friend's -Danilo and Flavia to visit India for the first time in their life.. [ They are Brazilian's so they are in for a lotttt of fun , courtesy me ;) ]...
And all this had lead me to be home sick..
So now I am preparing a list of what I should do when I go to India... And hence the blog I wish...
Well technically I wish for lots of things.. Trying to meet my parents and be with them.. Hnmm but then who wouldn't that what would be the first thing one would think of if he/she is missing home.. Anyways here goes...
1. I wish.. to eat a lottt.. hehe mom's cooking obviouslyy.... Miss her food now.. :(( then some dhaba.. saravana bhavan.. hehe i know.. it happens..
And since its raining.. I will also go about in talking about the onion bhajji and cutlets.. this with a cup of tea or coffeee.. in the rain.. hnnmm just amazing..
2. Watch as much as Indian Movies as possible.. Right now my only Indian movie watching is the websites online.. be it good quality or not.. Thats the only choice.. Coz very rarely you get a good Indian movies at the theatre's unless you are planning to go visit a near by city.. Well that's another waste of money..
3. Hang around Spencer's or Citi Centre till late in the nite.. this is something that I reallyy reallyy missinggg a lotttttt.. Goshh when I first came here I was in for such a big shock.. All the shops everything was closed by 5pm.. The only place that's open 24 hrs is Tesco..
4. Visit some new places.. Like a proper tourist.. lol.. which never works.. but will try though.. Seriously when I was planning out the trip for my friend's I realised there is sooo much of places that I haven't even heard off or seen.. So yup.. Should plan something and take a nice long break..
5. Shop , Shop , Shop.. hehe well really some things you just cant replace.... Atleast to listen to all the hustle and bustle off the place.. hehe you know the honking.. the crowd.. the chatter.. the traffic all the time.. street vendors.. Yup I do miss that..
6. Visit a Temple.. Ok seriously am not that religious.. ok may be I am .. but anyways the only proper temple that I have visited is when I went down to London.. And when I mentioned proper.. that means there are few Hindu community centre's.. which conduct puja and all every weekend .. But then they dont have the proper Temple ambience..
7 . Meet all my friends.. Especially the people who I got in touch like after ages..[ Some of them I haven't met since we all left school ok ppl stop calculating my age now.. its bad to count a girl's age ;) ]
8. Go to Hyderabad.. and see my school and my school teachers.. That should be fun :).. Try to meet my old class mates.. some of them who are already married or in the process of getting engaged.. Well few of them already got kids as well.. so I get to meet their better halves and their kids as well.. That should be fun.. Seeing how much people would have changed..
Ahhhh old memories.. [ nope not planning to do that with my engg college.. unless I have company .. pretha u listening ;) ]
This all apart from trying to go meet up relatives and having other family obligations :)
Looks like I have got my plans ready for when I go back to India.. Yaaaayyy !!!!
Oh well.. Let me get back to staring at the computer..
So will catch you all later... Byeee

Hope you get to do all those actvities on your wishlist, because it seems time flies when I get back for those 3 weeks :)!
India is always a spl place for anyone...
P.S : Remember july 29th? We won the first match of the tournament. As u wanted, blog updated :)
well Ani, none shall miss Saravana Bhavan...yummy...the ashok nagar branch is just a 2 min walk from home..so if u happen to come there, let me join u and.....don't forget to come home : )
I wish, your wishes come true... LOL.. there have been many changes here as well... Spencer plaza is still the same, spencer's daily has changed a bit, now the section where u had to stand and order cutlets has been remodeled to a restaurant format, so you can sit down and have grub.
Competition is coming up as well. Chennai central on its way as is PVR... more the merrier... so by the time u hit Chennai, it will be definitely different yet familiar.
On the UK shops closing at 5 pm, tell me about it! Everytime I have been to UK, it used to be a shock. Once I remember, I had finish work by 4 pm just so as to actually walk through the shops before they closed. Weird... and Tesco, Asda, Debenhams all good, but not good enough... LOL
Anu : I know what you mean.. and yeh even I hope I can manage to do all that I wanna do..
Rajesh : Yup it is indeed.. no doubts about that.. And congrats on your win.. will surely get back to ur blog soon.. :)
Anish : well right now.. these are good enough.. till I reach India.. the timings for these shops are sooo weird.. anyways.. getting used to it.. but still miss out on the late evening shopping and the hustle n bustle..
N thank you for the latest update on the changes happening at spencer's and in chennai..
