Like I said this is a very big introspection of my life.. Phewww
6 Whatever's about me .
1. I love food.. Ok that's the understatement . Foodoholic is more apt word I guess.. But in a very good way.. I don't over eat to have a weight problem or any other disorder.. Its just that I love good food and I enjoy eating food and trying out new food..
2. I believe in Fate and Karma . I always think that.. Things happen for a reason.. and there is always this thing which is looking on us and making things to happen.. YES I know its God but then am not a person who has taken to the rituals and temple [ well atleast not as much as my parents want me to ] but I have my faith in them..
3. I love books.. You can always find me couched up on a sofa or my bed reading.. I prefer that to going out.. And thats a problem.. Its one of my ways of unwinding after a long day..
4. I am scared of heights.. Oh yes.. Flying to UK well it was a bit of a nightmare.. I have travelled before ..But not for 9hrs straight.. So I think I'm getting over that fear of heights.. Luckyy ME !!!! ... and I'm keeping my fingers crossed..
5. I am a bit short tempered .. [ if you didnt realise it.. please read my previous blogs and u would realise that ]
6. I like music.. Preferably from soft rock, pop to our Bollywood , Tamil /Telugu and my native mallu industry.. So depends on my mood the music would also differ and sometimes does the language i listen to.
5 Things I miss in my Life right now ..
1.I miss my parents.. especially the constant banter of my mom and the random fights that I have with her .
2. I miss the proper Indian Food. All the dosa , idly , vada , sambhar , pav bhaji , chole bhatura .. Even though we do cook and soh's mom.. Pratima Aunty is an amazing cook. Guess the ingredients are from here so the taste variess from what it is back home..
3.Hanging around with friends.. At Spencer's or City Centre or Ascendas. Which most of the time I have visited only after 4 pm in the evening..But here in Dundee .... Everything closes down by 5pm unless its a Thursday..
4.I sometimes miss the work life.. Even though I still do keep in touch with most of collegues who have become my close friends over the years.. I still miss them..
5.I miss my school life.. Coz after that I haven't met everyone together or have hanged around as we used to when we were in school.. All the carefree life.. Just worrying about finishing homework and exams..
10Things I wanna Achieve in a Decade .
1. Finish my PhD .. And get a job in the research side..and later on move to academic side..
2. Travel around and try to see all the seven wonder's of the world.. Well have seen the Taj Mahal but then wouldn't mind seeing it again..
3.Learn to Swim.. Considering.. Soh and Drew have taken up the task of tutoring me at the beach I should be able to learn it quite soon.. But still its on my list for a long time now...So dont know lets see how it goes..N then I can try out different types of water sports..
4. Learn How to Drive.. Yup I don't know how to drive.. and I realised how essential it is .. Especially in this Country..
5.Try to learn new languages..Have started of with Chinese.. Do know a bit French [ learnt it in my 11th n 12th but guess that doesn't count ]
6.Try to build a house near a river or lake.. And make sure my parents can be settled there.. Y Lake or River.. well gives you plenty of fish.. And mom loves it.. And The view is just amazing.. So dad can just have his evening walks along there.. PerFect !!! :)
7.My mom's dream.. hehe Seeing me married and having kids.. Lol considering most of my friends are tying knots or have tied the knots.. So guess I would take the plunge soon.
8. Listen to an Opera or Musical Show..
9. Open a restuarant or a resort .. Considering how much I love food..and love to relax.. That shouldn't come as a surprise..
10. To go on a long cruise... hnnmm

thanks 4 tagging me....lol...gr8 that i'm the first person 2 comment.. u know what?? i was planning to write an article like this...like....6 things i like.. 5 things i miss etc but you did it.. anyway i found a few things we share in common...great...even i believe in karma and GOD but not in rituals and rarely visit temples... i'm always of the opinion that whatever happens in life is for a reason and that will be appreciated at the right time... also i miss school life.. good article...keep writing.. happy 2 c the comment in u had posted saying 'cant wait for the next blog'...that was encouraging...hope u really meant it :)
Rajesh: yup i really meant it.. I very seldom say things that i dont mean.. and compliments as well.. you can check with preeti and she can assure you about that.. am very straightforward for that matter..
yup i dont know .. i dont do much rituals.. its not that i dont pray or visit temples.. just that if i do skip it once in a while.. i think god does understand it.. as long as i have my faith and belief going strong...

ya...same here...its jus that i don make it a point to go to temples nearby...infact going on a pilgrimage to trichy (place in tamil nadu)tomo noon...i chant almost on all evenings...but try my best to b true to my conscience...thats the best

Ani, open the yellow pages or go to yell.com, find a driving instructor and try to attend at least one class per week. It’s good to have a English license. It’s good you didn’t have an Indian license yet, believe me, otherwise everywhere you break, change speeds dynamically, honk unnecessarily etc. Driving is not just moving the vehicle, there are principles to reduce traffic on road, giving comfort zone of other drivers and also restricting other drivers from getting into accidents etc. Although I can drive here for one year with my existing Indian or Bahrain license, the 2nd week after I landed here, I called a driving instructor for practice because I was driving in right hand side (with steering in the left side) for long. That flying thing was a joke, it requires a lot of things to say. Thanks for tagging, I will try to work it out but I can’t guarantee.
